After nearly four years of friendship, it would seem that further steps in our relationship should be taken in leaps and bounds. Impatience and anxiety take turns in controlling the pace in which we inch forward. Sometimes when we run together and I see his body moving amazingly gracefully after the damage he suffered from his accident, it’s all I can do to stop myself from taking him in my arms and explore his body with more than a professional touch. But there are times when we wonder... The life that could have been his hangs over us every day.
